The Ibn Rushd Centre of Excellence for Islamic Research has a dedicated high-quality peer-reviewed journal designed to disseminate some of the most recent research on Islam. All research papers are peer-reviewed. Research paper submissions are blind refereed by two or more expert readers for originality, conceptual contribution, structural integrity, and factual accuracy.
The recommendations of the readers will determine editorial decisions. Nexus is a multidisciplinary academic journal aimed to promote vigorous and original research on various aspects of Islam and Muslim affairs. The range of topics covered is diverse and represents the breadth of research excellence in the field.

The Journal will open a new area of multi-disciplinary specialisations in Islamic studies with the aim of publishing original high-quality articles addressing a wide range of theological studies such as Qur’anic, Hadith, jurisprudential or sociological Islamic studies from the historical, demographic, social and economic perspectives. Contributions are encouraged from Islam and Muslim related disciplines and sub-disciplines; these may include theology, philosophy, sociology, jurisprudence, contemporary studies, comparative religion, spirituality, Qur’anic and Sunnah studies, history and art.
