National Training Centre for Scholars and Imam

The role of an imam extends beyond leading prayers; the current societal demands require imams to offer pastoral care, youth work, counselling for marital and mental health issues, and more. There is a pressing need to equip imams with updated skills and knowledge to help them better serve their communities. By providing imams with current knowledge on relevant issues and government regulations affecting Muslims, we can empower the British Muslim community.

The National Islamic Studies Library will serve as a hub for this training, collaborating with third parties to deliver specialized sessions. A significant challenge many Muslim organizations face is the cost of venue hire, which can hinder training opportunities. To address this, the facilities for imam training will be offered free of charge.
